Here is a little rundown for your stay at Parcel, including the basics of the property and a mini guide of our favorite spots in Leelanau :)

  • If you need anything at all during your stay, you can call or text the Parcel concierge # at 616.213.3854

    :)

  • Each cabin at Parcel features a wood burning stove. Plentiful amounts of wood + fire starters + long stem lighters are stocked in and around the cabins for you to use during your stay. When using the stove, make sure to open + close the door with the specialty sliver key.

We recommend cracking the door open for the first 15 minutes of your burn to get you started. Please do not leave the stove unattended if the door is cracked. More detailed information on our stoves can be found here.

Make sure the fresh air intake knob on the back of the stove is pulled out, to allow air flow through the stove when using.

Do not run kitchen hood fans or bathroom fans when operating the wood burning stove to prevent reverse draft and smoking out the cabin.

  • Parcel is equipped with high speed wireless internet across the property.

    Password for all networks is:
    friends4life

  • Our patios doors are Pella and feature a unique locking system. Just lift the door handle up once before locking, which will ensure it properly locks.

Our front door smart locks can be unlocked by simply pressing the ‘Yale’ logo and entering your unique code. To lock the front doors, close the door and press the Yale logo upon exiting.

  • Our sauna is located along the gravel walking paths behind the cabins. It is an electric sauna with simple controls located on the unit itself. Mosey on over to turn it on before you want to hunker down. The sauna will take between 1 to 2 hours to reach max temp, depending on the season.

The sauna is a shared amenity at Parcel. When the exterior red light is on, that means the sauna is in use. Please be sure to turn the red light on if using, and off when you leave the sauna. If the red light is on more than 3 hours, feel free to go on in (and maybe check on your neighbor).

To turn on the sauna, you will see two dials at the base of the heater.

RIGHT DIAL: No need to touch this. This is the temperature dial and is set on max heat :)

LEFT DIAL: This is the timer to heat up the sauna.

To turn on the sauna, turn the dial to the right to the big black arrow. This turns the sauna on for its max run time of 1 hour. Go ahead and reset the dial every hour to keep the sauna cooking.

Kindly limit your total heating up, using the sauna + cold shower time to no more than 3 hours. Sauna towels are provided for you inside each closet bedroom at Parcel.

If you have any q’s you can text the Parcel concierge at (616) 213-3854.

  • Parcel is powered by electricity only. No fossil fuels, woo! Our kitchens utilize Bosch induction cook tops. They are pretty user friendly, but here is a little tutorial if you need it.

  • All bathrooms at Parcel have heated floors. The floor heat will be set to a comfortable temperature upon your arrival, but if you want to crank it up, you can use the module located on each bathroom’s entrance wall to increase.

  • Meadow Cabin - The Meadow Cabin features an Argentinian Parilla Grill. Think of it like a fancy park grill. Light it up with fire wood or charcoal, and enjoy the sizzle. A fun feature of this is grill is that it can be lowered or heightened based on your heat needs. Here’s a little video of how it works.

Forest Cabin - The Forest Cabin features a moveable grill grate over the back patio fire pit. It is perfect for open fire cooking, but can also be removed if you just want to sit by the fire.

  • You are welcome to leave recycling and trash in their bins in the cabins, but should you need a refresh feel free to place full bags in the large green receptacles on the drive past our small wood shed.

  • Each cabin has a few dedicated parking spots in front of each entrance. If you need additional spots feel free to park anywhere on the drive towards our small wood shed and recycling containers.
